If you wish to locate an address on the map, you must use the address matching tool. This tool will allow you to locate address or intersections.

You must first locate and click on this button to locate an address

It is located on this portion of your screen in the Toolbar

You will see a form on the bottom portion of your screen like the following.

Address Matching

First you must select the layer. Select the parcel layer.

Enter your address in the "Street" field. When locating address, leave the field marked "Cross Street" blank. Then click on the Locate button. You will then see a blue hyperlinked number representing your street. If multiple addresses appear, click on the link with a higher score.

Intersections

First you must select the layer. Select the road layer.

Enter your address in the "Street" field. Enter your street (without the street number) in the "Street" field and a cross street (without the street number) in the "Cross Street" field. Then click on the Locate button.

You will then see a blue hyperlinked number representing your street as indicated by the red arrow. If multiple addresses appear, click on the link with a higher score.

Use this tool to click on a layer like shelters to see information regarding the shelter.
